Fagan Finder

Fagan Finder is a search interface, with its own start page and without its own results page. Comparable to a dashboard, numerous search options are offered. The results are displayed on the search tool used. The advantage of search dashboards like this one is that you only have to enter a search query once and can then change the search tool to be used arbitrarily.

Fagan, Michael: »Fagan Finder is a collection of internet tools, mostly for helping you find anything and everything online. Use the home page as a starting point, or use one of the focused pages such as image search, academic/reference, and shopping. Think of Fagan Finder as the best of the web, as each page or section is built using or linking to the very best resources in that category. [...] Hi, I’m Michael Fagan. Towards the end of 2000 I built a little home page for myself to provide quick access to frequently-used tools, especially search engines. On October 13, 2001, I officially launched Fagan Finder, a newer version of the same website but made for anyone to use. I couldn’t think of a good name for the site so put up “Fagan Finder” temporarily. As you can see, I never got around to changing that.

Fagan Finder was most active from its founding to early 2004 when I got busy at university. After years of neglect, as of 2010 I have begun a revival of Fagan Finder, bringing more and more pages up to date and making them extremely useful once again. All pages list their last-updated date at the bottom, so you can easily check. Major updates are always mentioned on the Fagan Finder blog, so you can follow changes from there. Each page also has its own log. If you have any suggestions for the future, please let me know.« Source
