|2004: »allofthesites.com is an application of FAST Search and Transfer's FAST Search technology. As such, it queries FAST Search's huge database, a collection of Web documents that grows with the Web. Currently, allofthesites.com covers more of the Internet than most search engines. Users are discovering Web documents they have never seen before.
Despite allofthesites.com's immense size, it's surprisingly quick. Search results are returned in less than a second, thanks to allofthesites.com's linear scalability. Linear scalability insures that, no matter how big the Web gets, allofthesites.com will still deliver search results in fractions of a second.
But size and speed aren't everything. allofthesites.com also uses sophisticated algorithms to sort results for relevancy. The most relevant sites will usually be at the top of the search results. This eliminates scrolling through page after page of unrelated sites, usually a requirement of most search engines.« Source|
