In the beginning the engine used the FAST Search technology, today (Oct. 2015) it’s only a search interface directing to Google. They not jet have an own search results page, all functionalities (advanced search …) only link to Google [kd2015].

But size and speed aren't everything. also uses sophisticated algorithms to sort results for relevancy. The most relevant sites will usually be at the top of the search results.
