From 2001 to 2003, AlltheWeb offered an MP3 search, the FAST MP3 Search. FAST MP3 Search was based on the technology of the file search engine FAST FTP Search and collected and organized multimedia content. FAST MP3 Search could also be purchased from other providers for integration into their search solutions. The integration took place as downloads or directory search. Searches could be made by band name or song title. The MP3's could then be downloaded with one click.

In 2001, FAST's MP3 catalogue contained over 1.5 million audio files stored on FTP and HTTP servers. The ranking was based on availability, with the most readily available audio files being considered the most relevant. The MP3 rankings were updated every 20 minutes. The MP3 search catalog is updated hourly. Thus, the FAST MP3 catalogue was one of the most up-to-date of its time. In addition, copyright filters provided a legal MP3 search service.
