|»This form searches the RFC index for keywords and RFC numbers. It returns a list of RFC's matched, with links to the full text at many repositories around the world.«
|1995: »The index is mirrored daily from London, and the catalog is updated automatically. Note that we do not mirror all the rfc's themselves, but simply present an interface for existing mirrors.
This service was developed as a personal initiative of Martijn Koster in 1993. It is now maintained and supported by firstname.lastname@example.org.
This service is fully automated through a number of Perl 5 scripts. The index file is mirrored by httpmirror, and is processed by a script that also parses summary RFC's such as RFC 1000, RFC 1099 and RFC 1199. The resulting index is used by a script that implements the search engine.« Source|
